About the Partnership
We are a coalition of not-for-profit energy providers and other organizations working to encourage policies that result in low-cost, reliable and environmentally-responsible electricity. We’re working to find a solution that delivers fair and affordable energy to consumers while doing our part to make the world a cleaner place.
The Indiana Partnership for Fair and Affordable Energy includes:

Indiana Municipal Power Agency
The Indiana Municipal Power Agency is the not-for-profit wholesale power provider to 52 cities and towns across Indiana and one Ohio community who own and operate the municipal electric distribution systems in their communities. IMPA focuses on providing its members with a power supply that is low-costs, reliable and environmentally responsible. IMPA member communities deliver electric service to approximately 300,000 individuals throughout Indiana and Ohio. While power supply remains the Agency’s primary goal, IMPA also provides support to member utilities in other areas, including engineering, accounting, economic development, government relations and communications.

The G&T provides wholesale electricity to 28 distribution systems in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri. Collectively, these distribution cooperatives supply electricity to more than 810,000 people in their homes, farms, businesses and industries. WVPA has evolved into a fully integrated provider of wholesale electricity, building a diversified power supply portfolio that combines a variety of wholesale market pricing products, effective energy management programs and owned generation.

Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc
The Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc. exists to enhance the competitiveness of its member distribution cooperatives and generation and transmission cooperatives. It provides leadership and value for its members by providing a unified voice and acting as an advocate for the Indiana electric cooperative program and coordinating and leveraging members’ resources, in the spirit of cooperation, in order to help them fulfill their commitments to their members. Working together, Statewide and Indiana’s electric cooperatives partnered to become an effective team. Whether standing together in times of disaster or facing the many challenges of a complex industry - the partnership stands the test of time.
